| The Program for Disability Research (PDR)
is a constituent unit of the School of Management and Labor Relations
at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and a unit of the Disability
Research Institute (DRI). The DRI, composed of a consortium of universities,
is the first research institute financed by the United States Social
Security Administration to conduct investigations in the area of disability. |

Recently, staff of the PDR and Rehabilitiation
International met in Washington D.C. to discuss the results of the
Learning from Others project, which surveyed systems of temporary
and partial disability benefits in nine countries around the world.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the participating
nations, as well as representatives from SSA and other interested
parties. |
